We are hiring lead instructors and looking for volunteer assistants for our after-school Kindness Marathon program for K-4th that teaches kids to strengthen themselves and their community. During each session kids learn about community needs, have the opportunity to complete service projects to meet those needs, and work toward running 26.2 miles over the course of the year. We offer weekly classes on school campuses in Magnolia and The Woodlands, Texas. We are currently hiring for February-April 2020.


  • Lead children through the activities outlined in the Kindness Marathon curriculum

  • Manage the group to ensure a safe, positive learning environment

  • Motivate children to live healthy lives through fitness, nutrition, and community service

  • Ensure materials/supplies are ready prior to children arriving

  • Interact with school staff as necessary 

  • Interact with parents as necessary

  • Ensure safe checkout of children, if applicable (will vary based on school)

  • Professionally represent Stronger to Serve and its mission



  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with both children and adults

  • Excellent  classroom management skills

  • Energetic and passionate about helping children develop healthy habits and compassion that will set them up for life success

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Trustworthy and dependable

  • Punctual

  • Ability to stand for sustained periods of time

  • Consent to and successfully pass a background check

  • Must have access to car/vehicle or reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

  • Classes meet in the afternoons on school campuses throughout Magnolia and The Woodlands. We prefer candidates that live within this geographic location because of the commute requirements.



  • Part-Time Only, between 2-8 hours per week in the afternoons.  Each session is 1-1.25 hours long.

  • Volunteer or 1099 Contractor Position paying $15-$20 per session.
